Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Indistores collects when you use this website or place an order, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. It applies to indistores.com and covers both guest checkout and registered accounts.
Who we are
Indistores is operated by Sanjay Sharma, trading as Indistores (GSTIN 08KRGPS1174G1ZD), registered at GF-90, Migsun Galleria, Sector 27, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh – 201306. For the purposes of India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), Indistores is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described below. See About us for more on the business.
Personal data we collect
- Contact details you give us at checkout or through the Contact page — name, phone number, email address, and delivery/billing address
- Order details — the products you buy, quantities, order value, and order history
- Account information, if you choose to create one — your login email, saved addresses, and past orders. Creating an account is optional; you can check out as a guest
- Payment information — Indistores does not collect or store your card, UPI, or net-banking details. Payments are processed directly by our payment gateway partner (Cashfree); we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and a reference ID for it
- Communications you send us — messages, calls, or emails you send through the Contact page or customer care line
How we use your data
We use your personal data to: process and fulfil your order (including sharing your delivery address with our courier partner); process payment through our payment gateway; contact you about your order, a return, or a query you raised; and meet our own legal, tax, and accounting obligations. We do not use your data for third-party advertising, and we do not sell your personal data to anyone.
Cookies and local storage
This site uses a small number of essential cookies to make your cart and, if you sign in, your account session work correctly — these are set by WordPress and WooCommerce, not by us directly, and the site will not function properly without them. We also use your browser’s local storage for small preferences, like remembering that you’ve dismissed the announcement bar; this stays on your device and is never sent to us. As of this policy, Indistores does not run any analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking scripts on this site. If that changes, we will update this section.
Who we share data with
- Our payment gateway partner (Cashfree), to process your payment securely
- Our courier/delivery partner, to deliver your order to the address you provide
- Service providers who help us run this website and store its data (for example, our web hosting provider)
- Government or regulatory authorities, only where required by law
We do not share your personal data with anyone else, and we do not sell it.
How long we keep your data
We keep order and account data for as long as your account is active, or as long as needed to fulfil the order it relates to — plus any additional period required to meet our accounting, tax, or legal record-keeping obligations. If you ask us to delete your account, we will do so subject to those same legal retention requirements.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to ask us: what personal data of yours we hold, to correct it if it’s inaccurate or incomplete, to erase it (subject to our legal retention obligations above), and to withdraw any consent you’ve given — for example, by closing your account. You can exercise any of these by contacting us using the details on our Contact page or the grievance officer below.
Keeping your data secure
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including relying on our payment gateway’s own PCI-compliant infrastructure for payment data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
